David has over 20 years of experience and specialises in the promotion of large-scale projects in the housing, retail, employment and major infrastructure sectors. A keen understanding of planning processes and procedures, alongside his determination to succeed enable him to manage the delivery of large-scale strategic development. From feasibility and project inception stages, David leads the planning and EIA processes, through to delivery of development.David has extensive experience as expert witness at Inquiries and Examinations. David is involved from the outset on projects and the strength of his client relationships is key to their progression.
Emma joined Carter Jonas in 2010 providing advice to clients on all aspects of town and country planning including the development potential of land and property in urban and rural areas. Emma has also been involved in the preparation and submission of various representation to facilitate the promotion of land through the Local Development Framework process.
Jess is a Partner in the London Planning Team with experience advising private landowner, developer, house builder, registered provider and local authority clients on a range of developments in London and the South East. Jess specialises in residential-led regeneration schemes with a particular interest in the alternative residential sector.
Katy is a chartered planning and development surveyor based out of Chapel Place. She leads the London Planning Team who are active in promoting and securing development opportunities in London and the South East. Katy specialises in negotiating planning permission for high density residential regeneration schemes for clients such as EcoWorld London and Barratt London.
Laura is an Associate Partner with over 7 years post-qualification experience. She joined Carter Jonas in July 2021 and prior to this gained experience in both the public and private sector. Laura specialises in large-scale residential applications and site promotions, including new settlements and Green Belt release for national and local house builders, private developers and promoters and landowners. She is also highly experienced in acting for clients on industrial, commercial and retail projects, including brownfield redevelopment, stakeholder engagement and town centre uses.She provides clients with planning strategies, prepares and project manages complex planning application, leads on Appeals and prepares representations and attends hearings in respect of site promotion.
Nick is a chartered town planner and development surveyor with over 25 years' experience, gained across the residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors for corporate, institutional and private landowners and developers. He has worked at CBRE and Drivers Jonas Deloitte. His professional experience is in three main sectors – Strategic Land / Projects, Retail / Mixed-Use and Central London. Strategic Projects / Land involves the promotion of land for commercial and residential development for landowners and developers. Retail / Mixed-Use schemes are a blend of edge of centre and town centre mixed-use schemes with food stores and other uses, often residential. This sector includes regeneration and waterside schemes. Central London focuses on projects from Canary Wharf to Hammersmith and Camden down to Wandsworth, Southwark and Lambeth. When he isn’t working, Nick can be found playing golf (increasingly badly) and spending time re-stocking and emptying his wine cellar to indulge his passion for wine.
Nicky is a well respected Planning Consultant with over 23 years experience. Nicky has advised and acted on behalf of hundreds of clients across the country securing planning permission for a wide range of developments including large scale housing schemes, employment and R&D developments. In her spare time Nicky enjoys running and is a keen advocate of Parkrun, and is a Run Director at her local event in Abingdon. Nicky also likes relaxing at home and travelling with her Partner and children.
Peter Edwards is a consultant to carter Jonas working within the London Planning Team, Joined CJ in January 2014. Date of Birth 5th October 1961. Work exclusively from home on mainly leisure related projects primarily in the golf sector.
Sarah is a skilled and experienced chartered town planner with over 20 years' experience. Sarah has experience in managing the planning process on residential, mixed-use, commercial and leisure developments in a variety of locations on behalf of a diverse client base including developers, investment funds, social housing provider landowners and public companies.
